Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Marissa Bailey and this is my fifth year teaching at Iron Horse. I am so excited to have another wonderful year at this school and with all of you!

December Newsletter!

Oh, my goodness! How have we reached the last month of the first semester already?? Crazy how fast time is flying by!

Iready Testing

The kids have officially started their winter benchmark Iready tests! We will be completing the reading test first, followed by math. Please make sure they are getting good rest, coming to school with snacks and water, and know how great they are going to do on them!

End of Semester Party

To celebrate all the hard work the kids have done this semester, we will be having a board game and hot chocolate party! On December 21^st, please have your kiddo bring in their favorite board or card game to play with their classmates! Please write your name on the box so we know which games belong to who! Multiplication Facts

We are fully in the swing of learning our multiplication facts! Please make sure kids are spending time each night practicing their 0-12 multiplication facts so that they can get them down. Our goal is to have all of them mastered by the time they leave 3^rd grade. They all have a baggy with facts that they are stuck on to pass that number’s fact level to practice with at home and school. Please make sure these baggies come back to school each day since the days we fact test on depend on the week!
