My name is Lydia Hayes, and I love teaching 4th grade. I started my career at IHE in 2004 as a 2nd grade teacher. While at IHE, I have taught 6th grade, 4th grade, 3rd grade, and now I am back in 4th. During the 2020-2021 school year, I was an elearning teacher for DCSD, and taught students from three different schools including IHE kiddos. I am excited to be back in the building in this year.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from Metropolitan State University at Denver in English with a minor in Elementary Education. I have a Master of Education and Curriculum Instruction with a focus in Education Technology from Grand Canyon University.
This year I accomplished two big things on my bucket list. I did my first Tough Mudder with my son, Colin. I also did the Hike of a Lifetime with my best friend, Jill, and Andrea. We hiked from Crested Butte to Aspen
